Vata Dosha is the Ayurvedic Dosha comprised of the air and space elements.
If Vata is a primary dosha for you, you may be prone to anxiety, dry skin, bone and joint pain, constipation, and bloating. On the other hand, you can be extremely creative, adaptable, spiritual, and energetic.
Vata is of course extremely moveable and changeable with the air and space. It’s therefore extremely important for Vata Dosha people to maintain routine and bring grounding into their lives. Pranayama is essential as it directly manages the internal air.
Bringing in foods with earth and water element, and avoiding and limiting foods with high space and air elements is also essential. Below is a list of foods that Vata dosha people can favor, especially when feeling imbalanced. It’s also essential that Vata dosha bring warmth and avoid cold food and drinks, processed foods, very dry foods, and leftovers past 2-3 days.
